FPT Software & Honda team up in software development

FPT Software announced that it had signed an MoU with the Honda Motor Co., Ltd. to develop cooperative opportunities in information technology (IT) service management on a global scale for mutual benefit.

The agreement was signed during a working visit by a Honda delegation to the CodeCation Hola Park campus of FPT Software. Under the deal, FPT Japan (under FPT Software) will establish a team of personnel in Japan to develop, maintain, and operate IT services.

The company also commits to standing with customers, to reduce operating costs by 30 per cent, and at the same time to increase the number of employees in the Offshore Delivery Center for Honda to several hundred during the period from now to the end of 2025.

Previously, in 2021, Honda and FPT Software Japan implemented a project to build a Connected Automotive System using an application on smartphones. FPT Software has also developed a Honda+ Cloud application with modern features, bringing benefits to 4.5 million customers in Vietnam of Honda Vietnam, a subsidiary of Honda.

FPT Software has nearly 3,800 automotive software engineers and was the first company in Vietnam to possess an A-SPICE Level 3 certificate, which is specialized certification on the capabilities of enterprises in the field of automotive software and technology. FPT Software’s automotive technology segment meets international AUTOSAR standards and is expected to grow by 40 per cent in 2022, making an important contribution to the realization of FPT Software’s goal of $1 billion in software export revenue by 2023.
