Speaking at a workshop on the development of human resources for the semiconductor microchip industry, held in central Da Nang city on October 10, FPT Group Chairman Truong Gia Binh said it has 6,000 to 7,000 information technology students graduating each year. To enable them to work in the industry, he went on, they undertake further training through six-month online programs from the Synopsys Group, as agreed upon by the two companies. FPT also plans to send graduates to work in Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan (China), so they become highly-skilled before returning home to work in the central city.
Under its scheme, FPT has set a target of 10,000 students being trained each year by 2030 for the semiconductor microchip industry, with the figure to double or even triple after that time.
He proposed that Da Nang authorities apply better mechanisms and policies to attract more investors and high-quality human resources from overseas for the industry.
