The Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) has officially announced the establishment of seven networks of Centers of Excellence dedicated to training talent in Industry 4.0 technologies.
The announcement was made during a conference held on August 1, where Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Phuc affirmed the central role of universities in cultivating a high-quality workforce and spearheading innovation and technology application.
The establishment of these seven networks in priority fields for the northern region—such as artificial intelligence, semiconductors, biotechnology, and new materials—is a clear testament to a development strategy built on comprehensive collaboration among universities, businesses, and the state.
This initiative is expected to provide a crucial foundation for Vietnam to achieve a breakthrough in high-tech talent training, directly supporting the nation's digital transformation goals.
Deputy Minister Phuc expressed his hope that these centers will become the core nuclei for building a national ecosystem for education, research, and innovation—hubs that will convene Vietnamese talent and connect domestic resources with international partners.
The seven newly announced networks for the northern region are:
Network of Excellence in Industrial and Biomedical Biotechnology, led by Vietnam National University, Hanoi;
Network of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence and the Semiconductor Industry, led by Hanoi University of Science and Technology;
Network of Excellence in Advanced and Intelligent Transportation and Infrastructure Technology, led by the University of Transport and Communications;
