Vietnam's fruit and vegetable exports reached a record high of $7.12 billion in 2024, a year-on-year increase of 27%, according to Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD).
These agricultural products have been exported to over 60 markets worldwide. China remained the biggest importer with $4.3 billion, accounting for over 60% of the total. It was followed by the US with $320 million.
Durian took the lead in terms of export revenue with $3.3 billion. It was followed by dragon fruits with $435 million. Other key export products included bananas, mangoes, jack fruit, coconuts and watermelon.
In 2025, total export value of fruits and vegetable is expected to hit $8 billion.
The figure is forecast to reach $10 billion by 2027.
