The government has ordered a review and assessment of human resources demand in each industry, sector, and region, to identify measures to ensure labor supply in a timely manner.
This is part of a government Resolution issued on January 10 on developing a flexible, modern, effective, sustainable, and integrated labor market for rapid socio-economic recovery.
Under the Resolution, agricultural workers will account for 25 per cent of the total by 2025; the average growth rate of workplace productivity is to increase by over 6.5 per cent; and the rate of trained workers with degrees and certificates is to surge to 30 per cent.
It also sets a target of maintaining the unemployment rate at below 3 per cent.
In order to fulfill the targets, the Resolution sets tasks and solutions, such as completing the legal framework and reviewing and amending related regulations to meet labor market development demand; increasing investment in developing economic sectors that generate sustainable jobs; and renewing the growth model in connection with sustainable development towards improving quality and creating more jobs.
