The People’s Committee of Ha Tinh province in central Vietnam has approved the investment policy for the Ky Anh Wind Power Plant project, with an estimated capital of over VND17 trillion ($641 million).

Covering 5.5 hectares of land and 825 hectares of water surface in Ky Xuan, Ky Anh and Ky Khang communes, the project will feature 47 wind turbines, each with a capacity ranging from 5 to 8.5 MW.

The plant, designed with a 50-year operating term, is scheduled for completion and operation in the fourth quarter of 2028.

Investor selection will be conducted through an invitation for interest and bidding for land-use projects in line with regulations.

Once operational, the Ky Anh Wind Power Plant is expected to contribute significantly to the country's renewable energy.
