Northern Hai Phong city had attracted a record $3.4 billion in FDI this year as of December 20, ranking it second in the country, according to the city’s Statistics Office.

The result was attributed to improvements in the city’s business and investment environment, infrastructure, and investment promotions.

It posted GRDP growth of 10.34 per cent for 2023, ranking it fifth in the country and second in the Red River Delta.

Industry and construction rose 11.54 per cent, services 10.02 per cent, and agriculture, forestry and fisheries 1.11 per cent.

The city’s total retail sales of goods and services rose 13.34 per cent in 2023 compared to 2022.
