Hanoi generated jobs for over 44,500 workers in the first quarter of 2023, according to the city’s Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs.
The figure represents 27.5 per cent of the annual target.
It also sent 738 workers to Japan, Taiwan (China), and South Korea in the quarter.
The Hanoi Job Service Center held 53 job transaction sessions with the participation of 1,557 units and enterprises with recruitment demand totaling over 28,300 positions.
To help stabilize the labor market, the city will review and assess demand in each sector and region, particularly demand among foreign investors, to link businesses and workers.
