Hanoi and central Da Nang city were named among seven best places in Southeast Asia for solo travelers by world renowned travel guide Lonely Planet, the Government News has reported.
Da Nang and Hanoi were ranked third and sixth in the list, respectively, according to Lonely Planet - Australia-based travel guide book publisher.
The criteria for selecting a destination was based on a low crime rate, safety, affordability, diverse landscapes, an amazing and immediately noticeable culture upon arrival, and cuisine with enticing flavors which offer a sense of daily triumph through delicious dishes.
Da Nang targets to welcome 8.4 million tourists in 2024, including 2.5 million international visitors. So far, the city has already welcomed over 2 million international visitors.
