HCM City puts into operation key transport projects

Ho Chi Minh City put into operation some key transport projects on December 30, contributing to improving regional transport infrastructure and connectivity.

They include the opening of Phuoc Long Bridge, the HC1 tunnel of Nguyen Van Linh-Nguyen Huu Tho intersection in District 7, the first phase of the parallel road along National Highway 50, and the upgrade of Tan Ky Tan Quy road in Binh Tan district.

Phuoc Long bridge, connecting Huynh Tan Phat and Nguyen Huu Tho streets, was built with a total investment capital of VND737 billion ($28.8 million). It has a total length of 359 m and width of 10.5 m.

Construction of the HC1 tunnel, and the HC2 tunnel which opened to traffic in October, 2024, cost total VND830 billion ($32.4 million). Each tunnel has three lanes and is 456 m long.

The project to build the 4.36-km parallel road along National Highway 50 in Binh Chanh district and upgrade the highway has a total investment capital of VND1.498 trillion ($58.6 million).
