The first Vietnam International Exhibition on Aquatic Science and Technology (VINAFIS EXPO 2026) and a national fisheries science and technology conference are scheduled to take place later this month in Ho Chi Minh City, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment announced at a press briefing on April 20.
The VINAFIS EXPO 2026 will be held on April 28–30, the first event of its kind to comprehensively cover the entire fisheries value chain, fostering connections and trade among domestic and international participants.
Meanwhile, the conference will be held on April 27-28, which is expected to draw around 300 delegates, including policymakers, scientists, businesses, organizations, local authorities, and fishermen from Vietnam and abroad. It will combine in-person and online formats, featuring plenary sessions, specialized subcommittees, and an exhibition showcasing scientific and technological achievements in fisheries and fisheries surveillance.
The conference aims to review research and development outcomes for the 2021–2025 period, while updating participants on the latest advances in aquaculture, nutrition, biotechnology, disease management, resource protection, harvesting, preservation, and seafood processing.
It will also provide a platform for stakeholders to exchange expertise, share technical processes, and discuss effective models across the sector.
