The Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee officially launched the city’s Center for Digital Transformation on January 30.
The HCMC-DXCENTER will capitalize on digital and data technologies, expand cooperation, mobilize resources to provide digital services to serve the people and enterprises, and develop digital government to create drivers for the growth of the digital economy and the data economy.
It will also conduct information and communications activities to serve the building of e-government, the digital economy, the digital society, and smart cities, as well as consult and support small and medium-sized enterprise (SMEs) on conducting digital transformation.
Besides operating a data center and a data transmission network, the center will provide guidance and technical support for relevant sides to roll out digital platforms and develop digital services and smart urban areas.
It is responsible for ensuring information safety for the city’s data center, digital platforms, information system, and shared database.
