HorecFex Vietnam 2025 officially opened at the Ariyana Da Nang International Convention Center on August 26, kicking off Vietnam's largest series of exhibitions and forums.

The two-day event (August 26-27) features 55 in-depth discussion sessions and technology experiences dedicated to the HORECA (Hotels – Restaurants – Catering Services) industry.

The event attracted over 3,500 attendees, including leaders from government agencies, international experts, associations, investors, and more than 500 leading enterprises in the industry.

"We are proud of the quality of this year's forum, which gathers over 90 speakers and guests from 20 countries, including names sharing for the first time in Vietnam from the US, Australia, and many other reputable international experts,” said Mr. Nguyen Duc Quynh, Chairman of HorecFex Vietnam.

“Notably, 40% of the speakers are foreign experts and 40% are women – a testament to the diversity and inclusiveness we pursue. With the theme 'The Way Forward,' HorecFex 2025 not only affirms its role in connecting knowledge but also opens up new directions for the future of the industry," he said.

According to the 2024 Travel & Tourism Development Index (TTDI) report, Vietnamese tourism ranked 59th out of 199 countries and territories.

“This result reflects commendable efforts while also highlighting important tasks ahead: investing in tourism development, improving infrastructure, promoting digital transformation, and applying science and technology,” said Mr. Nguyen Trung Khanh, Director General of the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism.

Ms. Do Thi Hong Xoan, President of the Vietnam Hotel Association, stated that Vietnamese tourism is entering a strong transformation phase. In the first 6 months of the year, Vietnam welcomed 10.6 million international visitors (a 20.7% increase compared to the same period in 2024), served 77.5 million domestic tourists, and achieved a total tourism revenue of VND518 trillion (nearly $19.7 billion). However, the tourism and hotel industry is also entering a "new race". demanding innovation in thinking, flexibility in strategy, and more decisive action than ever before.

"In this year's HorecFex event series, we clearly see three pillars being positioned for the hotel industry in Vietnam in the coming period: comprehensive Technology - digital transformation; Sustainable development linked with responsible tourism; and Redefining customer experience," said Ms. Xoan.
