Hue City in central Vietnam has set a bold target to significantly develop its high-tech workforce between 2025-2035, aiming to meet regional standards and approach international benchmarks by 2045.
To achieve this, the city will implement a range of initiatives in education, training, international cooperation, and the development of an innovation ecosystem, in order to meet the demands of the digital economy and digital society.
By 2030, Hue aims to have over 80% of its workforce trained, with at least 20% holding degrees or certifications in high-tech fields.
The city plans to launch at least three high-tech workforce training programs in collaboration with universities, research institutes, and domestic and international tech enterprises.
During the 2030–2035 period, the city targets to raise the proportion of trained workers in high-tech fields to a minimum of 30%.
By 2045, the city envisions its high-tech workforce reaching regional standards, approaching global benchmarks, and being fully capable of mastering and innovating new technologies, while adapting flexibly to the evolving demands of the digital economy and society.
An innovation ecosystem will be established to attract experts, tech enterprises, and startups to invest and work in Hue.
The city aims to become a regional hub for high-tech training and technology transfer, playing a leading role in scientific development, technological advancement, and innovation.
