Hue promotes tourism in Warsaw, Poland

Thiên Anh -

Among the tourist markets in Europe, Poland stands out for its growing number of visitors to both Vietnam and Hue in particular.

The centrally-run city of Hue has been featured in a series of Vietnam's tourism promotion activities in Poland in commemoration of  the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

The event held on June 22 in Warsaw provided Vietnam's central city with a valuable opportunity to directly engage European tourist markets, which are consistently regarded as both high-potential and high-spending. Among the European markets, Poland stands out for its growing number of visitors to both Vietnam and its Hue city in particular.

According to statistics, Hue welcomed 5,962 Polish visitors in 2024. In the first five months of 2025, Polish visitor numbers reached 4,394, ranking 18th among Hue’s international source markets in terms of tourist numbers.

This steady growth signals strong potential for expanding tourism cooperation between Hue and Poland, as well as other countries in Central and Eastern Europe.

In the wake of a robust post-pandemic recovery, international travelers are seeking destinations that offer rich cultural heritage, authentic experiences, and high-quality services—qualities that Hue proudly represents. Participation in the Warsaw event was a practical step toward enhancing the global visibility of Hue, Vietnam’s former imperial capital renowned for its heritage.

At the event, a delegation from Hue promoted the city’s image through publications and videos, while also conducting direct engagement with European businesses and tour operators to explore collaboration opportunities and develop new tourism offerings.

Hue has set a goal to attract over 8 million visitors by 2030, with 40–45% expected to be international tourists. To achieve this, the city has identified three strategic priorities: cultivating new markets, expanding international cooperation, and elevating service quality.
