The People's Committee of Hue city in central Vietnam has officially proposed the Ministry of Education and Training to invest approximately VND1.2 trillion (over $45.7 million) in construction and upgrade of a network of inter-level (primary and lower secondary) boarding and semi-boarding schools across five border communes.
The detailed proposal outlines a plan to build four new inter-level semi-boarding and boarding schools in A Luoi 1, A Luoi 3, A Luoi 4, and A Luoi 5 communes.
For another commune, A Luoi 2, the city proposes upgrading, renovating, and expanding the existing Lower Secondary and Ethnic Boarding School into a comprehensive inter-level boarding school.
In addition to these major projects, twelve other existing primary and lower secondary schools within the five communes will also be upgraded and renovated. This initiative aims to maintain high-quality teaching and learning activities and ensure all facilities meet the "Level 2 physical infrastructure standards" as stipulated by the ministry.
Hue City aims to break ground on two key projects by August 30: the new inter-level boarding schools in A Luoi 3 and A Luoi 4 communes.
Construction or upgrade for the remaining three central school projects in A Luoi 1, A Luoi 2, and A Luoi 5 is scheduled to commence by December 30, 2025.
