Revenue from the information and communications technology (ICT) sector reached $113.8 billion in the first ten months of 2023, up 1 per cent year-on-year, according to the Ministry of Information and Communications (MoIC).
Turnover from hardware and electronic exports totaled $106 billion, a year-on-year rise of 0.6 per cent.
The export value of hardware and electronic products was estimated at nearly $96.8 billion, down 4 per cent compared to the same period last year.
The MoIC noted that the global economy faced many difficulties in the first ten months of the year, causing a decline in the information technology consumption market. This has affected the export of all Vietnamese products and services, including those of the ICT industry.
ICT revenue reached $148 billion in 2022, a year-on-year increase of 8.7 per cent.
