Insurtech Igloo has unveiled new branding for Ignite by Igloo, its digital platform for sales intermediaries.
With the surge of online distribution channels for insurance, Vietnam was the first country where Ignite was introduced and since its launch in early 2022 it has recruited over 18,000 agents in the country, covering all 63 cities and provinces, and issued over 30,000 policies.
With Ignite, agents are empowered with a one-stop app and can now streamline their customer service and administrative work to focus more on selling.
Ms. Nguyen Dieu Huyen, an insurance agent using Ignite in Vietnam, said that with customers becoming increasingly digital, they’re starting to consider buying insurance online due to convenience, as it’s easier and faster and there are more products to choose from. “Using Ignite, we are able to equip ourselves with digital upskilling so we can do our work better and quicker so we can meet the increasing demand of our customers,” she added.
“We understand the nature of Vietnamese customers, who often build personal relationships with their agents,” said Mr. Tri Nguyen, Country Manager of Igloo in Vietnam. “With the updated Ignite, we try to enhance the agent experience to boost their productivity. This digital platform will be able to address customer pain points while at the same time providing the necessary tools for agents to grow their skills, cooperate with other agents, and ensure that they meet the needs of customers.”

Besides providing digital empowerment to insurance underwriters, the Ignite app aligns its goal of digitalizing agent operations with two insurers: the Saigon - Hanoi Insurance Corporation (BSH) and the Global Insurance Corporation (GIC). As of the end of 2023, Igloo had set its sights on launching Ignite in multiple markets, with a goal of facilitating sales for 50,000 agents and a Gross Written Premium (GWP) of 50 times the figure in 2022.
