Vietnam is predicted to be among the 20 fastest-growing economies globally in 2024, with projected GDP growth of 5.8 per cent, according to the International Monetary Fund (IMF)’s forecasts.
Its report shows that many economies in the top 20 are from Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa, which are regarded as the two regions with the fastest economic growth in the world.
At the top is Macau (China), with forecasted GDP growth of 27.2 per cent in 2024, followed by Palau and India with 12.4 and 6.3 per cent, respectively. Other Asian economies on the list are Bangladesh, Cambodia, and the Philippines.
The Sub-Saharan Africa region contributes ten economies to the list.
The IMF predicts that average global growth will be 2.9 per cent in 2024.
