State budget collections in January and February reached over VND362 trillion ($15.3 billion), a year-on-year increase of 10.6 per cent, according to the Ministry of Finance.
Revenue from domestic sources rose 17 per cent year-on-year and from crude oil 13.2 per cent, while revenue from import and export activities fell 25.5 per cent.
Thirty-six of Vietnam’s 63 cities and provinces posted State budget collections in excess of 18 per cent of the annual target, including Hanoi, with 31.8 per cent, northern Bac Giang province 26.4 per cent, northern Lang Son province 25 per cent, and the Mekong Delta’s Kien Giang province 24.8 per cent.
