More than 300 contestants and more than 100 guests, judges, and advisors who are business owners and tech experts from the Viettel Group and large tech companies nationwide gathered for the JunctionX Hanoi Hackathon 2023 from April 14 to 16 at the Viettel Academy at the Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park, 30 km from the center of Hanoi.

Co-organized by Junction Vietnam and the Viettel Telecom Group with the theme “Hack your career - Hack your future”, JunctionX Hanoi 2023 aimed to create a tech playground full of experiences and challenges, thereby finding and creating the next generation of digital talent and developing high-quality technological resources for the country. According to organizers, JunctionX Hanoi 2023 connects with the global Junction network and the largest universities in the world.

During 48 hours of competition, contestants brainstormed innovative and practical technological solutions and solved business problems surrounding hot topics such as artificial intelligence (AI), financial technology (fintech), cyber security, the Internet of Things (IoT), and cloud computing. Five tracks of the hackathon were based on the practicality and effectiveness of solutions.

Furthermore, JunctionX Hanoi 2023 also included various workshops designed specifically for young tech lovers, with discussion topics such as digital talent in the tech industry and innovation in tech products; FaceID & Radar; and AI and data science career opportunities in the banking and finance industry. This was also an opportunity for contestants to hear valuable insights from leading experts in the industry.

In addition to hours of immersion in solution products, contestants also had the opportunity to experience a variety of activities, both professionally and recreationally. This year’s edition of JunctionX Hanoi was held in a completely new form, combining hackathon and camping at Viettel Academy’s open campus.

On the evening of April 16, a pitching round and a closing ceremony were held. The top 10 best teams presented their ideas to a panel of judges and the other teams.
