Khanh Hoa to build coastal road around Van Phong Bay

Thanh Thủy -

Total investment in route along south-central province’s shores estimated at $83 million.

The Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee has approved the construction of a coastal route along Van Phong Bay with total capital of over VND2 trillion ($83 million).

With a total length of 20.25 km, the road runs from the south-central province’s Hien Luong 2 Bridge in Van Luong commune to National Highway No. 26B in Ninh Hoa commune.

Investment capital will be sourced from the provincial budget and other sources.

The project is scheduled for implementation over three years, from 2024 to 2027.

Once opened, the road will help attract more domestic and foreign investment and boost local socio-economic development.

Construction of the road is also part of adjustments to the master planning for the Van Phong Economic Zone (EZ) to 2040. It will help create a main transport link connecting functional sub-zones of the EZ and meet transport demand at Hon Khoi Port while reducing traffic congestion along National Highway No. 1A.
