A trade connectivity conference was organized in Da Lat on October 8 by the People’s Committee of south central Lam Dong Province in collaboration with  the Vietnam–Korea Business and Investment Association (VKBIA), aiming at accelerating investment, trade, and tourism partnership between the province and South Korean partners, according to a report by the online newspaper of Radio the Voice of Vietnam.

Affirming the vast potential for bilateral cooperation, Lam Dong authorities expressed the locality’s ambition to integrate its seafood, coffee, fresh fruits, and processed food products more deeply into South Korea's distribution networks and retail chains.

Concurrently, the province seeks to pivot from conventional product trading toward value-chain collaboration. Under this model, South Korean enterprises would co-invest in raw material farming zones, advanced processing technologies, preservation, packaging, traceability systems, and private labeling to efficiently capitalize on the province's extensive agricultural resources.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Phuc, Vice Chairman of the Lam Dong People’s Committee, noted that direct linkages among local governments, business associations, and enterprises will unlock substantial partnership opportunities and create new economic value.

"We hope that South Korea’s processing technologies and logistics capabilities will elevate our agricultural products. In renewable energy, we possess considerable potential in hydropower, wind power, and solar energy—advantages that require corporate participation to generate industrial-scale power. We also look forward to South Korean firms taking an interest in industrial zones, high-tech parks, and mineral processing technology," Mr. Phuc said.
