Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang has asked a number of ministries to hasten the simplification of business regulations in the 2020-2025 period as planned.
Under the program on reducing and simplifying business regulations in the period, the Prime Minister requested that ministries and sectors simplify at least 20 per cent of business regulations by 2025.
However, the Ministries of Industry and Trade, Justice, Finance, and Culture, Sports and Tourism have yet to submit plans to the Prime Minister on simplifying business regulations.
Some ministries, meanwhile, have not fully updated related business regulations on portals regarding such regulations for individuals and businesses to follow.
The Prime Minister has approved simplification plans for 688 business regulations but these plans are still being studied further for possible amendments and supplementation, causing difficulties in addressing administrative procedures.
In order to tackle these shortcomings, Deputy Prime Minister Quang, who is head of the Prime Minister’s Working Group on Simplifying Administrative Procedures, asked ministers and heads of agencies to take measures to promptly cut and simplify business regulations as planned.
