The Moc Bai Border Gate Economic Zone (EZ) in southern Tay Ninh province has to date attracted 56 investment projects, including 19 FDI projects, with total registered capital of nearly $759 million, according to Head of the province’s Border Guard Command Le Van Vy.
Reporting at a meeting with National Assembly (NA) Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue during his visit to the border gate on January 3, Mr. Vy said 33 projects have been put into operation, including 11 FDI projects and 22 domestic-invested projects.
Moc Bai is one of three international border gates in Tay Ninh, which borders three provinces in Cambodia.
NA Chairman Hue applauded relevant forces at the EZ for good border management and facilitating border trade between the two countries.
Under the province’s master planning in the 2021-2030 period with a vision to 2050, the EZ will be developed towards industry, urban areas, and services with green and sustainable growth, creating advantages to attract more investors.
