The National Assembly (NA) has agreed to adjust the reborrowing plans in 2022 of seven localities.

This is part of a resolution adopted by the NA at its second extra-ordinary session on January 9 on adjusting localities’ reborrowing plans in 2022, supplementing the 2021 regular spending estimates sourced by foreign non-refundable aid, and transferring localities’ anti-pandemic budget.

Under the resolution, seven cities and provinces will have their reborrowing plans in 2022 reduced by a total of more than VND1.5 trillion ($65 million).

Meanwhile, the resolution increases reborrowing estimates in 2022 of seven other localities by a total of VND226 billion ($9.5 million).

The resolution also supplements over VND14.7 trillion ($617 million) to the 2021 regular spending estimates sourced by foreign non-refundable aid.
