The People's Committee of  central Thua Thien - Hue province has issued Decision No 2882/QD-UBND, approving the detailed planning of the southern urban center of Hue City.

The planning area encompasses the administrative boundaries of Vinh Ninh, Phu Hoi, and Phu Nhuan wards, as well as part of Phuoc Vinh ward in Hue City, covering over 388 ha.

The projected population for 2045 is about 37,000 people.

The southern urban center will include administrative, cultural, educational, healthcare, commerce, and tourism services.

This area, an existing urban center, focuses on improving and upgrading its technical and social infrastructure to meet development needs.
