The Agricultural Trade Promotion Center under the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment and the Vietnam Economic Times/VnEconomy signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on April 3 in Hanoi to strengthen communications, trade promotion and value chain development for Vietnamese agricultural products.

Under the deal, cooperation will focus on three key pillars in 2026 and beyond.

First, the two sides will expand comprehensive media collaboration. The Vietnam Economic Times will leverage its digital platforms and international partnerships to provide in-depth, timely coverage of agricultural developments, while supporting trade promotion activities and enhancing the global visibility of Vietnam’s key farm products and regional specialties.

Second, both parties will jointly promote agricultural and OCOP (One Commune One Product) goods through specialized content and programs. Activities will include showcasing standout products, organizing rankings and recognition initiatives, and strengthening market linkages to boost consumption and attract investment.

Third, they will co-organise forums, seminars and policy dialogues, creating platforms for stakeholders to exchange ideas and propose solutions to improve trade promotion and agricultural value chains in line with market demands.

With the combination of trade promotion strengths and communication capabilities, both sides hope to contribute to repositioning the image of Vietnamese agriculture, not only as a major exporting country but also as a modern, green, and sustainable agricultural sector.

Addressing the signing ceremony, Mr. Dao Quang Binh, General Secretary of the Vietnam Association of Economic Sciences and Vice Chairman of VnEconomy’s Editorial Board, said with the advantage of a media ecosystem built over many years, the VnEconomy hopes to contribute to promoting the image of Vietnamese agricultural products. The system includes a modern digital platform, advanced technology applications, along with an international partner network and various forum and event activities.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Tien, Director of the Agricultural Trade Promotion Center, said he expected that the collaboration would help to deepen consumers’ understanding of the value of Vietnamese agricultural products, and to create a more effective connection between different stages in the value chain.
