The National Innovation Center (NIC) and Google Vietnam on June 18 announced a series of 2025 initiatives to promote Artificial Intelligence (AI) entrepreneurship in Vietnam.

The initiatives focus on strengthening the AI startup ecosystem and promoting digital transformation in Vietnam.

Key initiatives include Google for Startups AI Bootcamp 2025, which will organize a three-day training course in Ho Chi Minh City for 100 startups to equip them with latest AI features, from generating ideas and designing to completing products and preparing for fund raising.

Meanwhile, the Google for Startups AI Solutions Lab 2025 is a hackathon competition which will be held in central Da Nang city to build GenAI solutions to tackle real challenges.

"Shaping the Future of Vietnamese AI" is another initiative. It represents a concrete step towards realizing Viet nam’s goals of fostering innovation and high-tech scientific development. To date, the initiative has successfully awarded 60,000 scholarships through the Google – NIC Digital Talent Development Program. This achievement has been made possible by an extensive network of over 150 partners, including universities and social impact organizations.

Addressing the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung spoke highly of the cooperation between NIC and Google.

He proposed Google to continue coordinating with Vietnam in major action plans such as building an AI training and research and development center in Vietnam, developing high-quality human resources, and promoting the AI innovation ecosystem.

He stressed that the Party and Government of Vietnam identified science and technology, innovation and digital transformation as a key factor in rapid and sustainable development.
