The Norwegian Pavilion is making a strong return to the Green Economy Forum & Exhibition 2024 (GEFE 2024), co-organized by the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (EuroCham) and the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and officially opened in Ho Chi Minh City on October 21.
This year, eight top Norwegian companies jointly presented cutting-edge innovations and sustainable solutions that power the green transition across various sectors.
As a country committed to achieving a low-carbon future, Norway's pioneering contributions to green technology and sustainability have been on full display, offering attendees an up-close look at the future of eco-conscious business and how the private sector is key to building a greener economy.
“We are proudly introducing an excellent team of Norwegian companies that are at the forefront of the green economy, leading the way in the industries vital to both economic growth and environmental stewardship: shipbuilding, energy, paint and coating production, fertilizer, and the circular economy," H.E. Hilde Solbakken, Norwegian Ambassador to Vietnam, said in her opening speech.
The participants are Jotun, Vard, Yara, Eagles Technology, Equinor, UMOE Advanced Composites, DNV, and C-Loop, showcasing the best of Norwegian innovation and environmental responsibility.
The pavilion is a reflection of Norway’s long-standing commitment to innovation and environmental responsibility through their sustainable practices and green solutions, Ambassador Solbakken noted. "It also tells you how the Norwegian companies have been working closely with the Vietnamese partners to uphold the values of sustainability, making active contributions to Vietnam’s economic growth and transition to a greener future.”
Norwegian industries are globally recognized for their focus on sustainability, and this commitment is on full display through the companies present at the GEFE 2024 . "Be they already active in Vietnam or still exploring this promising market, our companies are committed to contributing to the green economy through advanced solutions and technologies. They will also prove that a greener and sustainable future is not just possible but also profitable,” Ms. Karin Greve-Isdahl, Norwegian Commercial Counsellor, Director of Innovation Norway, stated.
Visitors to the Norwegian Pavilion can explore interactive exhibits, engage with company representatives, and discover why Norwegian companies are seen as pioneers in green technologies—and how they are leading the way in ensuring that growth and sustainability work together seamlessly.
