Over 1,000 enterprises had been established in north-central Thanh Hoa province in the first five months of this year, a year-on-year increase of 8.5%, according to local authorities.
Total registered charter capital stood at over VND9.9 trillion ($390 million), up 41.2% year-on-year.
The province ranked first in the north-central region and eighth among centrally-run 63 cities and provinces nationwide in terms of newly-established enterprises in the period.
To support local businesses, the Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee has recently asked relevant departments and agencies to take measures such as providing consultancy for small- and medium-sized businesses, helping export businesses to get access to new markets and supporting businesses in innovation and digital transformation.
