Total capital investment disbursement of 38 national key transport projects reached over VND29.5 trillion ($1.14 billion) as of June 12, according to the Ministry of Finance (MoF).
The figure is equivalent to 27.4% of the yearly plan.
Of which, disbursement of State budget was estimated at nearly VND25.5 trillion (over $1 billion), equal to 32.2% of the annual target. The rest was from the local budget, fulfilling 14% of the annual target.
Disbursement of investment capital for the second phase of the Eastern North-South Expressway amounted to over VND12 trillion ($47.1 million) or 39.9% of the project’s total.
However, disbursement for some projects remains low, including the Ring Road No.3 of Ho Chi Minh City. So far, only 12.9% of the total investment capital of VND21.5 trillion ($844 million) was disbursed.
The MoF has required the Ministry of Transport and authorities of localities to further accelerate the disbursement of public investment capital for the remaining months of the year.
