Over $9.6 bln worth of G-bonds raised in 8M

The State Treasury had raised nearly VND238.3 trillion ($9.62 billion) in Government bonds by the end of August, 2024, fulfilling nearly 60% of the annual issuance plan assigned by the Ministry of Finance.

In August alone, the Hanoi Stock Exchange organized 16 auctions for Government bonds issued by the State Treasury, raising over VND45.28 trillion (1.82 billion), up 24% compared to the previous month.

The State Treasury conducted bidding for G bonds in August across five maturity terms: five years, 10 years, 15 years, 20 years and 30 years. The 10-year term retained the highest issuance share, comprising 63% of the total winning volume.

The average issuance term of August was 11.67 years and the average issuance interest rate was 2.76% per annum.
