To accompany the exciting and enthusiastic atmosphere of youth campaigns and green summer volunteers, the Phuc Khang Corporation has extended the Green Study Tour 2023 to “keep on moving”, with many activities to practice corporate social responsibility towards the young generation and students.

The Design Results Report event in conjunction with the Product Showcase and Contest Awards Ceremony (Green Summer Design Studio) took place in the Green Gallery of the Phuc Khang Corporation at 42 Mac Dinh Chi Street in Da Kao Ward, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City on July 8. Phuc Khang, as a companion of the campaign, has shaped many favourable conditions for student groups to research, develop, and present the results of their projects.

Green Summer Design Studio 2023 has the theme “Architectural Design towards Low-Carbon”. The contest attracted nearly 150 architecture students from five prestigious leading universities in Ho Chi Minh City and neighbouring provinces, including Viet Duc University, the Technology University, the Ho Chi Minh City National University, the Ton Duc Thang University, the Van Lang University, and Thu Dau Mot University. Besides the universities and the Phuc Khang Corporation, also involved were the Architecture Magazine from the Vietnam Association of Architects and representatives from professional consulting units in the Green Building Program EDGE (of the International Finance Organization in cooperation with the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT)), the Vietnam Green Building Council (VGBC), and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, in the US.

One of the two locations selected for the research and design of a pavilion is a sustainable park along the river in Phuc Khang’s Diamond Lotus Riverside project at 49C Le Quang Kim, Ward 8, District 8, Ho Chi Minh City, where groups of students designed a green community living space for residents with low emissions using the EDGE app.

Thanks to the enthusiasm of organizers, guidance from experts and lecturers, and dedicated support from sponsors and companions, including Phuc Khang, the workshop turned out to be a great success. Young architecture students had the opportunity to experience, explore, and create new ideas with practical value. Ten main prizes and three special prizes were presented to excellent works and designs in the competition.

The CSR efforts of the Phuc Khang Corporation accompany the Green Summer Design Studio every year. This year, it was a continuation of the “Green Study Tour” series launched and organized by Phuc Khang in cooperation with prestigious domestic and foreign universities to communicate green knowledge to the younger generation.

Before the Green Design Studio 2023, Phuc Khang also accompanied many prestigious universities in holding internship, research, and practical experience programs for domestic and foreign students. These programs are part of the “Green Study Tour” 2023 series of activities launched by Phuc Khang.

The programs to spread green knowledge in 2023 began with the international workshop “Urban Planning Projects for a Future Thu Thiem in HCMC” at the Green Gallery at 42 Mac Dinh Chi Street in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City on the morning of May 15. The workshop was part of the training program in urban planning from the Faculty of Urban Planning and Tourism at the Quebec University in Montreal, Canada, accompanied by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the University of Technology - National University Ho Chi Mih City, the Nguyen Tat Thanh University, GreenViet Ltd., and the Phuc Khang Corporation.

On the same afternoon, Phuc Khang welcomed an international delegation including professors and more than 60 students from Hochschule Darmstadt University in Germany and the Vietnam-Germany University, visiting and experiencing the Diamond Lotus Riverside green building at 49C Le Quang Kim, Ward 8, District 8, Ho Chi Minh City. During the program, the international delegation had the chance to visit the riverside park, the utility space, and model apartments, and listened to a presentation on the green building evaluation criteria, LEED, from US, and LOTUS, from Vietnam, applied in the project and other green properties, and practical values in environmental protection, energy and water saving, and public health protection.

The “Green Study Tour” will continue to be held regularly, featuring internships, visits, and practical experiences for students at domestic universities, such as “Internship program for students of the Faculty of Finance and Banking - Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City”, with the participation of more than 80 students; a sightseeing tour with research and practical experience at Diamond Lotus Riverside for more than 80 guests who are lecturers and students of Van Lang University, Thu Dau Mot University, and the University of Technology, National University Ho Chi Minh City .
