Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requested that relevant ministries and agencies take measures to remove the difficulties and obstacles and accelerate the progress of the 500 kV national transmission line, Circuit 3, while chairing a teleconference in Thanh Hoa province on January 28 with nine localities the project passes through.

The 519-km line runs through 211 communes and wards in 43 districts of nine provinces, including Quang Binh, Ha Tinh, Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, Ninh Binh, Nam Dinh, Thai Binh, Hai Duong, and Hung Yen.

The project is now facing several bottlenecks, including slow progress in site clearance and a lack of space for construction and logistics in several localities, as well as difficulties in selecting construction plans in complex and dangerous terrain, according to reports presented at the conference.

Prime Minister Chinh asked relevant ministries and agencies to work together and keep to the project’s schedule, while ensuring construction quality and workplace and environmental safety.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha and Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien, alongside leaders of relevant departments, will hold monthly meetings to review and boost project progress and design provincial-level plans.

The project is to be completed in June.
