Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has urged entrepreneurs and enterprises to join hands in propelling Vietnam towards a new era of rising, emphasizing the collective responsibility in building a strong national brand.
Addressing the National Brand Award 2024 ceremony on November 4 evening, where a record 359 products from 190 businesses were recognized, the Prime Minister highlighted the nation's impressive brand development trajectory.
Vietnam's national brand has witnessed remarkable growth, rising to the top 100 strongest national brands globally and experiencing the fastest brand value growth worldwide between 2019 and 2022.
In 2024, Vietnam's brand value reached an impressive $507 billion, increased by 2% against the previous year, securing the 32nd position among 193 evaluated national brands.
PM Chinh emphasized that building and developing Vietnam's national brand is a crucial strategic mission requiring continuous effort, innovation, and unwavering commitment from everyone.
He commended the award winners for their outstanding achievements, recognizing their significant contributions to the nation's economic growth, social welfare, and sustainable development.
Looking ahead, the Prime Minister urged businesses to leverage the momentum of green growth and sustainable development, embracing the green revolution, utilizing the National Brand Award's reputation to expand international markets, and actively engaging in global supply chains.
He stressed the importance of green production models, renewable energy adoption, and environmentally friendly technologies in line with global efforts to combat climate change.
The Government leader emphasized the importance of modern governance, transparency, and sustainability in production practices, encouraging businesses to invest in high-quality human resources and foster talent networks. He called for the development of robust corporate cultures and the empowerment of entrepreneurs, ensuring comprehensive benefits for workers.
The Prime Minister also highlighted the transformative potential of the fourth industrial revolution, urging businesses to leverage its opportunities to restructure the economy, implement strategic breakthroughs, and modernize the country, ultimately achieving green and sustainable growth.
