PM instructs measures to boost cooperation with Latin America - Caribbean region

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired a meeting on June 30 in Hanoi to discuss measures to promote cooperation with Latin American and Caribbean region.

He noted that ample room remains to boost trade, commerce and investment cooperation between Vietnam and the Latin American and Caribbean region and stressed a need to diversify market, products and supply chains to this region.

He also urged relevant ministers and sectors to accelerate trade negotiations between Vietnam and the Southern Common Market (MERCOSUR).

It is also necessary to promote and expand operation of Vietnamese businesses in this region, according to the PM.

The Government leader required relevant agencies to continue studying and proposing tasks and measures to promote practical and effective cooperation with countries in the region.
