The Quang Binh Provincial People’s Committee has issued a plan on logistics development by 2030, with the target of developing into a center of logistics of the north-central region.
Under the plan, the north central province will focus on building logistics infrastructure, seeking investment in developing a logistics center at the Hon La Economic Zone, improving the supply capacity of logistics businesses, and attracting cargo transport via border gates and seaports.
Priority will be given to developing the Cha Lo international border gate economic zone into a logistics center along the East-West economic corridor and a cargo transshipment point connecting the northeast of Thailand - Laos - Vietnam with other countries in the Greater Mekong Sub-region.
In order to implement the plan, the province will make a list of priority projects to call for investors, mobilize all resources to develop logistics infrastructure, and attract domestic and foreign logistics enterprises to open representative offices in the province.
