Northern Quang Ninh province is expected to post economic growth of 9.94 per cent this year as of the end of September, according to the Provincial People’s Committee.
The industry and construction sector is estimated to have grown 9.08 per cent, agriculture, forestry and fisheries 4.19 per cent, and tourism 12.76 per cent.
In the nine-month period the province also attracted $853.93 million worth of FDI, equivalent to 85.4 per cent of the annual target.
Nearly 13 million tourists visited Quang Ninh, which is home to Ha Long Bay, a year-on-year rise of 41.7 per cent.
The province also posted export revenue of $3.1 billion, up 14.15 per cent compared to the same period last year.
Quang Ninh targets growth of 14.5 per cent in the fourth quarter and over 11 per cent for the year as a whole.
