Authorities of central Quang Tri province have launched a campaign to accelerate key projects from now to the end of September, according to the provincial People’s Committee.

Major projects that are under construction include My Thuy port with an estimated investment capital of over VND14.2 trillion ($557 million); Quang Tri Industrial Park, worth more than VND2 trillion ($78.5 million) ; LNG Hai Lang project, worth VND54 trillion ($2.12 billion); and Van Ninh – Cam Lo expressway worth over VND9.9 trillion ($388 million).

These projects are expected to create growth drivers to boost economic development for the province.

However, many projects are facing difficulties, particularly site clearance, slowing down their progress.

During the campaign, the local authorities requested relevant departments and agencies to take more drastic measures to remove difficulties and obstacles to accelerate these projects.
