According to the Government Office's Notice No. 463/TB-VPCP on Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's conclusion at his recent working session with the Standing Committee of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee, the Prime Minister expected that Quang Tri will leverage its potential and advantages, break through strongly, and become an important energy, tourism, and agricultural hub of the country in the coming time.

The central province has a favorable geo-economic position, a long coastline, and great development potential across all three regions: mountainous, delta, and coastal; especially in the fields of marine economy, aquaculture, trade, services, tourism, and renewable energy.

The PM emphasized that Quang Tri also converges a diverse transportation system, capable of convenient connections along the East-West and North-South economic corridors, opening up opportunities for trade with Laos, Thailand, Myanmar, and China.

He stressed that in socio-economic development, Quang Tri must place people and businesses at the center. The province needs to promote public-private cooperation; support the startup movement; develop an innovation ecosystem; create a favorable environment to attract large projects, and at the same time enhance the capacity of small and medium-sized enterprises.

One of the province's important orientations is to promote investment in strategic infrastructure for transportation, urban areas, healthcare, education, and social affairs; accelerate the progress of major works and projects to promote regional and international linkages, and deeply participate in global supply chains.

Along with that, the locality needs to focus on developing high-quality human resources to serve key industries; ensure social welfare, improve the lives of meritorious people; develop social housing; and narrow the development gap between regions.

PM Chinh noted that Quang Tri must strengthen resource management, environmental protection, climate change adaptation, disaster prevention and control, preservation of relics and landscapes, and ensure national defense, security, and social order and safety.

With these resolute and synchronized directives, he expected that Quang Tri will leverage its potential and advantages, make strong breakthroughs, and become an important energy, tourism, and agricultural center of the country in the coming time.
