The central city granting investment approval to 11 new projects with combined registered capital of VND9.157 trillion ($348 million) during the first seven months of 2026.
Covering around 10,000ha in central Quang Tri province, the zone is planned as a multifunctional economic hub featuring industrial parks, seaports, thermal power facilities, trade and services, and tourism.
Priority will be given to sectors linked to trade and investment to attract development resources, particularly for large-scale infrastructure projects in these regions.
The central province attracting investment worth VND67.7 trillion (approximately $2.65 billion) in the first five months of 2026, more than eight times higher than the same period last year.
The Mekong Delta city's industrial zones have so far attracted 381 projects, including 46 FDI ones, with combined registered capital of $10.29 billion.
One of the central province's important orientations is to promote investment in strategic infrastructure for transportation, urban areas, healthcare, education, and social affairs.
