Central Quang Tri province targets becoming a logistics center and a commodity transport entrepot in Southeast Asia by 2030 under its master planning in the 2021-2030 period with a vision to 2050.

Its planning was recently approved by Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha.

Under the planning, Quang Tri will strive to become an economic center in the central coastal region and the north-central region and a transport corridor in the ASEAN region.

By 2050, it is to develop into a locality with strong economic development, with industry and services becoming growth drivers of the region.

The province will focus on breakthroughs such as mobilizing resources to implement key transport projects, developing transport infrastructure, and improving the business and investment environment and digital transformation.

It will also improve human resources and boost the application of AI in production and trade.

Regarding economic development, the province will give priority to industry and construction, services, tourism, and agriculture, forestry and fisheries.
