The number of real estate transactions rose 10.6% year-on-year in the first six months of 2024 to more than 253,000, according to the Ministry of Construction.
Most transactions focused on land and lower-tier apartments in big cities.
In Hanoi, the market saw the most significant fluctuations in the land and apartment segments with searches for land and apartment sales surging 18% and 46% year-on-year. The figures in HCM City were 45% and 33%, respectively.
Together with an increase in housing demand, the markets in Hanoi and HCM City also witnessed a surge in price of apartments at 31% and 6%, respectively.
