The Ring Road 3 running through Ho Chi Minh City is expected to open to traffic before June 30, 2026, according to the city’s Management Board of Transport Project Investment and Construction.
Site clearance for the project is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2025.
By the end of 2024, the project has completed some 30% of the construction value, basically meeting the schedule.
Some 14.7km of the road is scheduled to open to traffic on December 31, 2025 and additional 32.6km is expected to open to traffic on April 30, 2026.
The project as a total length of over 76 km, connecting the southern city with neighboring Dong Nai, Binh Duong, and Long An provinces and other localities in the region. The section running through Ho Chi Minh City stretches 47 km.
It will have four lanes and a maximum speed of 100 kph.
Total investment is estimated at nearly VND75.4 trillion ($3.14 billion).
