Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha has approved the construction of a section of the expressway connecting northern Ninh Binh province and the nearby port city of Hai Phong in the public-private partnership (PPP) form, the Government News has reported.

The section will also run through Nam Dinh and Thai Binh provinces and has a total length of 60.9 km.

Total investment capital for the project is over VND18.9 trillion ($787 million).

It will have four lanes, allowing a maximum speed of 120 kph.

The project is to be conducted from 2023 to 2027.

It is expected to help create growth drivers for localities in the Red River Delta and north-central region, and boost investment attraction in different fields, particularly in urban development, industry, trade, and services.
