Siemens hopes to expand investment and business in Vietnam

The visiting President and CEO of the Siemens Group, Mr. Roland Busch, stressed the group’s desire to expand cooperation, investment, and business in Vietnam in a host of fields during a meeting with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh in Hanoi on February 26, the Government News has reported.

Key areas include digital transformation, green transition, electric vehicle manufacturing, infrastructure for national data centers, and urban and high-speed railway development.

He noted that Siemens has effectively collaborated with Vietnam in many areas, especially renewable energy and transport.

Prime Minister Chinh proposed that the German group build a Siemens Research and Development Center in Vietnam, and boost cooperation in high technology, innovation, green transition, renewable energy, transport (including manufacturing electric vehicles), and digital transformation.

He proposed it promote technology transfer and innovation in Vietnam and support the country in high-quality human resources training, finance, and digital transformation.
