Central Thua Thien-Hue province welcomed over 3.2 million tourists in the first ten months of the year, marking a significant increase of 26.8% year-on-year, according to the provincial Statistics Office.

Of which, over 1 million were foreigners, a year-on-year rise of 31.5%.

Total tourism revenue is estimated at more than VND6.66 trillion ($261 million), up 14.3% compared to the same period last year.

In the ten-month period, the province also posted remarkable growth in other economic indicators, as compared to the ten-month period of 2023.

Total export revenue reached over $1 billion, up 17.5%; and the index of industrial production (IIP) rose 5.44%.

Meanwhile, the total retail sales of consumer goods and service amounted to over VND47.2 trillion ($1.85 billion), surging 14.8%.
