South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol has affirmed a plan to expand training programs to improve digital capacity for future generations as well as support research cooperation between South Korea and Vietnam.
He made the affirmation while addressing the Smart Next Generation dialogue, held with 50 young Vietnamese and South Korean digital experts at the research and development (R&D) center of Samsung Electronics in Hanoi on June 24.
The dialogue was held as part of the South Korean leader’s three-day State visit to Vietnam.
Vietnam and South Korea have raised their bilateral digital partnership to become important partners in R&D, he said.
Samsung’s $220-million R&D center, which opened last December, is the largest R&D center of the South Korean tech giant in Southeast Asia.
