The FPT Software Ignite Cohort 2023, a four-month coaching program sponsored by Standard Chartered, concluded successfully on May 5 with a closing ceremony held at FPT’s Hanoi office.

The ceremony was witnessed by Mr. Roel Louwhoff, Group Chief Technology and Operations Officer at Standard Chartered, Ms. Katie Hasson, Founder of Ignite, Ms. Michele Wee, CEO of Standard Chartered Vietnam, Mr. Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of FPT, and other leaders from both organizations.

The empowerment program has provided tremendous benefits to Standard Chartered employees and was expanded to the Bank’s partner by offering qualified executive coaches for each FPT Software employee for four months. The two companies worked together to enhance their Diversity and Inclusion agenda as well as empower female employees. Over the course of the program, FPT Software participants had the opportunity to expand their personal and professional horizons with their coach.

“We work in a pretty diverse environment due to the large number of employees from various countries,” one program participant said. “Ignite is a must-have immersive program for getting to know and integrating with your multicultural peers. The most exciting aspect of taking up the program is that the coaches can assist us in evaluating our own problems and finding a quick solution. This is a crucial method because each participant can approach it in a unique manner to solve their problems.”

Ms. Wee said the Ignite program has been a great success, providing valuable support to empowering female employees. “We are delighted to have offered this coaching program to FPT Software and we look forward to continuing our partnership to promote inclusivity and drive innovation in business,” she added.

Ignite is a team of over 200 qualified executive coaches formally trained by the International Coaching Federation (ICF)’s aligned organizations. The coaches span 30 countries and territories and work in various roles and segments at Standard Chartered Bank.

The program was developed to support female colleagues as they progress in their careers. Coaches invest their personal time volunteering and coaching colleagues who are ready to change, challenge, and stretch themselves to improve their performance. Ignite creates an environment where individuals explore their potential, discover new levels of performance, and experience community. Through the program, the Bank aims to unleash and nurture the potential of its employees, clients, and communities.
